Kehlani and Dom Kennedy have a message for their past lovers, and that's to mind your business. The new single "Nunya" (short for "none of your business"), is Kehlani's third single released from her up and coming project titled While We Wait, set for release February 22.
This sultry new track, produced by mega-producer Hit-Boy, is a delivers a seamless blend of both modern and classic 90's R&B sounds. Kehlani's voice angelically rides the beat as she talks about her nosey ex. Even though Kehlani's sweet voice laces the track ever so gently, her lyrics, on the contrary, are unapologetic and hard-hitting. In her second verse, she sings, "Worry 'bout if she gon' leave you, When she find out all that you do." I think the message is pretty clear here, which is to let Kehlani live.
Los Angles rapper Dom Kenndey joins in with his unwavering flow and sharing, "Can't worry 'bout the past, seen you out here holdin' hands." Seems like Dom has issues with his ex's too.
The anticipation for this mixtape is at an all-time high for the mommy to be. The mixtape consists of nine songs and also features appearances from Musiq Soulchild, Ty Dolla Sign, and 6lack. While We Wait should hold us over, while we wait for this album to drop.
