Tobe Nwigwe shares his experience on "BOUNTIFUL"

Houston rapper Tobe Nwigwe kicks off 2019 with "BOUNTIFUL," the newest entry in his long-running weekly music series. In his usual fashion, Nwigwe once again taps into the social consciousness of the listener, and in under two minutes delivers a thought-provoking record that will make you go "hmm."

Influenced by Tobe’s experiences growing up as a first-generation Nigerian American on the Southwest side of Houston (Alief), the record dwells on authenticity and finding one's true calling regardless of external forces that may derail one's focus.

The visual is gripping as well, and uses various motifs to drive home the message. In one scene, we see Tobe Nwigwe as a chief in the vintage cane furniture (alluding to his Igbo roots) and the next he is riding shotgun in a bright red hoodie (with a glimpse of Houston’s downtown). With this release, Tobe just wants to share a message that’s consistent with his personal experiences.
