Emerging singer/songwriter MONTE.XTO (read as Monte Cristo) gets really sultry on his new enthralling single "Everything". He taps into the ultra-sensual department and delivers quite a catchy and smooth record that blends classic RnB elements and upbeat trap drums laced with frequent breaks & pauses to create the feeling of constantly being drawn in and pushed out. The singer keeps it clean for the most part and leaves it to the listener to fill in the blanks for what they want to hear. With the song being a nod to narcissism, it was used more so as a chance to shed light on its relation to sexual intimacy and self-control. It’s meant to feel like a vicious cycle of calm and chaos.
Inspired by love & heartbreak, the Vancouver based,Filipino-Canadian singer borrows influences from the roots of American music, such as Jazz, Soul, and Funk, fusing it with current sounds of today. He made his solo debut in 2018 with the groove-induced first single “No Turning Back”. “MX” is currently working on his debut EP which is expected to release sometime in 2019.
