Houston rap mainstay Trill Sammy's No Sleep vol 1 mixtape was released with a few singles, one of which was "3AM" and featured Youngboy Never Broke Again & Cashmere Cat. The track shows Sammy at a level just above his young peers. He doesn't hit the low key instrumental with thought-provoking bars; instead, he makes a slightly more personable track that is still relatively light-hearted and an easy listen. The video fits the track perfectly: it's filled with notebook-style animations and shots of the two young rappers in a nice house. Director Lonewolf took the visuals in a simple direction that aids in conveying the not-too-serious tone of the melody-infused track.
