Hot Creations cofounder Jamie Jones has teamed up with David Berrie for a two track EP titled Doctor Zouk. And in honor of one of his first releases on the label, Berrie has put together a special mix that includes entirely exclusive new music that echoes the underground sound of the collaborative EP.
The big round bass on "Doctor Zouk" is Jones's signature, here driving the track with minimal percussion and some vocal samples that can be attributed back to Berrie's well rounded upbringing in the NYC electronic scene. The acid bassline that hits eventually takes the track into overdrive, showcasing a perfect blend of sounds for another massive Hot Creations release. Among releasing new music, Berrie is preparing for a show schedule Paradise parties in NYC and Ibiza, while Jones and the Hot Creations gang will hit the road for stops including one in Toronto where Four Tet and Art Department share the bill.
