With over a million streams on Soundcloud on Vanic's remix of "Bounce Back" by Big Sean, you might think that the viral hit has reached the end of the road. But Vancouver based producer SSOS has elevated the track one step further in its dark and sinister, twisted and distorted layers of synths.
SSOS is an unfamiliar name in the EDM world, with no pictures and one track released so far on Soundcloud.. However if he continues down the same path as he has done with this flip, it looks promising. The remix originally done by Vanic was a masterpiece, as it pushed boundaries of where hiphop can sound – a strings of complex future bass paired with a twisted aura creating a buzzing bass has listeners captivated. But SSOS has elevated that one step further, creating a gloomy layer on top of the drop, distorting it further with lightning fast chops as an innovating sound entering the trap sound. SSOS is an artist part of a growing movement currently happening in trap, making sounds that continue to stretch and evolve the genre.
