Budding R&B and hip-hop act XL dropped his lead single "You Oughta Know" ahead of the release of his new project.
Being the first single off Boo-Yow, the debut EP from Maryland-based act, the record really showcases his diverse skillset. He takes some ample time to explore the delicate issue of transparency in relationships. Teaming up with producer and artist Juju who crafts a smooth, dreamy backdrop for the young singer to deliver lush melodies laced with a confident drawl and of course well-detailed lyrics to match. He tries to present the situation as clear as possible to his female acquaintance leading to interesting results.
"You Oughta Know" is taken from his upcoming EP 'Boo-Yow' which is a culmination of all the work put in and a reflection of the mindset of XL's bittersweet situation. "Boo-Yow" will be out later in summer of 2018. Get the single on Spotify and iTunes.
