In our current social media obsessed, overly stimulated, & generally desensitized society it is very easy for one to feel rather lonely & hopeless whilst being plugged in. This is a topic that has been extensively touched on in a lot of recent releases, whether it's Tyler, The Creator's deep yearnings for companionship on "911/Mr. Lonely", or Kanye's most recent struggles to feel something real amidst his battles with mental instability on his Ye & Kid See Ghosts albums.
D.C. turned LA based poet/MC emoniFela chooses to combat this feeling of alienation with genuine affection & clarity with her latest video for "#MyThoughtsOnLove". A collaboration with new age soul virtuoso Nick Hakim on production and Canadian songstress Esthero, the track is an tender proclamation of love dedicated to a nameless significant other. The video was directed & edited by ROLL, and takes the same candid approach as the song with a plain close-up on emoni's golden mouthpiece she recites her prose.
