Production duo Best Friend pay homage to the warmest season of the year with the release of their new instrumental project titled Forever
The London based producers serve up a nice batch of fresh, summery soundscapes over 8 tracks that make up the mixtape. Kicking off with the introductory track "Paradise Lounge", the team usher the listener into a carefree world with their smooth soundscape and surgically chopped vocal sample. The title track exudes that soulful funk with head nodding drums to match the laid back vibes. The production team brings a whole lot of warm fuzzy vibes on this mixtape that it's hard to ignore any track. From the somber "Can't be alone", the rollicking "Only girl" to the sun-drenched trap grooves of "Sun/Sky". There is more than enough heat for everyone on this mixtape.
Best Friend is made up of south Londoner Andy Hickey & Canadian Stuart Francis. Operating from their studio in Tottenham, they slice up forgotten 12 inches and stitch together soulful, laid-back beats.
