Hailing from California, Paris Shadows has been quickly rising in popularity with a number of big singles leading up to his debut One Night In Paris. Paris Shadows has a style that is currently thriving in underground hip-hop, however, it's quickly becoming a leading trend through the many talented artists establishing themselves in this punk, pop, trap-infused genre. In a recent No Jumper interview, Paris Shadows sites his wide range of influences from Kid Cudi to Yo-Yo Ma to who he got his birth name "Paris Shadows" from, The Cure. This explains the wide variety of sounds that are coming from this project.
One interesting feature comes from legendary drummer Travis Barker. This track, while still having a hip-hop influence, is the most rock leaning cut from One Night In Paris. The most notable release building toward this project was the single featuring Ohio's Trippy Redd, entitled "Gone." The two bounce back and forth each providing wavy vocal performances over a heavy trap instrumental. The project's production includes Internet Money, Taz Taylor, & Travis Mills.
While this is a short 20-minute introduction to Paris Shadows, the song making talent he has shines through. As he looks to continue building on this sound and experimenting with new ones, the journey will be entertaining to watch for us onlookers. Paris Shadows will be supporting Post Malone and 21 Savage on their upcoming tour through North America this summer. Stream One Night In Paris here and follow the links below to stay tuned.
