When last we caught up with South London’s eff Raps., he was spitting about perspective and depression in his song, “Two Sides.” Today, eff is back with a synth-drenched funk track that shouts out the black ladies in his world. Check out “Recipe” below.
Over a self-produced beat, eff rattles off line after line, showing love with his trademark poetic fluidity. “Rubbing on my neck, giving me goosebumps. Never would have known this one’s a nuisance. Sirens everywhere, you know them blue ones. Baby’s kind of shady for a cute one” and “Start with a text, now you’re my fiance. Sippin lemonade, you could be my Beyonce” are just two examples of eff doing his thing.
With a bouncy track comes an equally sunny video. "Recipe" features a handful of gals in a flat, playing cards, drinking Hennessy and even pillow fighting as eff raps along in the background. The whole thing is warm, upbeat and playful, matching the tone of the song perfectly.
