eff Raps. drops a think piece of a summer jam with "Two Sides" [Premiere]

All the way from South East London comes your new favorite rapper, eff Raps., and his latest single “Two Sides.” With a knack for storytelling and wordplay, eff delivers a song about perspective and how important it is to uncover the truth in every situation.

Produced by the 25-year-old UK resident himself, “Two Sides” has a nostalgic flavor that makes you think of laidback summer afternoons as a kid. The feeling is carefree, but the subject matter is anything but lax. By juxtaposing his reality focused lyrics with his cool productions, eff creates a jam that forces listeners to question if everything really is all that sunny.

Summer seems an appropriate comparison for “Two Sides” as eff rides that beat like Kelly Slater at Pipeline. His cadence is relentless, yet somehow manageable. He keeps the pace up but is in complete control as he delivers bar after bar after bar. While he has some impressive punches throughout the cut, what stands out most is his diction. Not every rapper out there is choosing words like, “epiphany,” “symmetry,” “synergy,” and “fidgety” in a song, let alone within a few lines.

With all the talent coming out of London in the Hip Hop game, you have to good to break through the noise. Competition is never a bad thing and clearly, eff Raps. is benefitting from it as somebody who has risen to the challenge and raised the bar.
