JVNA brings nostalgia to Maplestory's "Temple of Time"

So I don't know how many of our readers have heard of or played the online 2D video game Maplestory, 10 years ago it was quite a legendary game. Globally played, it had servers in several countries boasting millions of players online. I grew up playing this game for years, spending an embarrassing amount of hours training my character; even playing private servers made by fans that had custom features. Although I'm not as active anymore, hearing this remix by JVNA also known as Jana made me immediately re-download the game as I type out this review with a smile on my face.

As this might be a little hard to describe for those who aren't familiar with the game, Temple of Time was a city in Mapletory, there were many cities but Temple of Time was one of the hardest to reach, with once hosting the toughest boss in the game Pink Bean. Each city had their own background music and this was Temple of Time's. Keeping the core of the melody, Jana adds her take on it, blending in future bass elements creating an uptempo harmony. Drums and snares are added throughout the track, with a piano instrumental of the tune at the end to finish it off. Turning what once was a background music in the game into a more modern feel.

If you're a fan of video game music like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc please be sure to check out Jana's socials down below, super talented and absolutely killing it this year. She also lives in Los Angeles and plays shows, and will be playing at Brownies and Lemonade at the end of the month here.

She also kills it with a live performance on YouTube:
