You've heard of DJ Mag 100, now one of the music industry's most respected publications has also launched their version of the world's top 100 list of the most credible and comprehensive ranking of the best dance and electronic artists in the world. .

Compiled by Billboard’s editorial and charts departments, the Billboard Dance 100 list will be informed by charts statistics (streaming, track sales, album sales, and radio airplay), touring data (show capacities, festival bookings, and residencies), as well as a fan-voted poll, which just opened this week. From February 26- March 16 readers can vote for their five favorite dance/electronic on Billboard. The announcement earlier this week comes accompanied with a video that includes top artists like The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, ODESZA and Alison Wonderland.

The final list will be revealed between March 21-22 with an event taking place at 1 Hotel South Beach’s signature restaurant Habitat during Miami Music Week. This new franchise comes as Billboard’s largest expansion into the electronic music space since launching the Billboard Dance vertical in 2015.

With the dance music industry extending its rapid global growth in 2017 and continuing its crossover trajectory into genres like hip-hop and Latin, Billboard’s latest move aims to provide a definitive resource for the scene and give fans a voice in the process. To maintain authenticity, each user will get one vote and any irregularities will be disqualified.

“The Billboard Dance 100 fills the need for a holistic, data-driven ranking of dance music’s diverse range of talents,” said Matt Medved, Director of Dance and Electronic Programming at Billboard. “From pop hit makers and club curators to hard ticket-movers, all successful artist models will find a home here.” The Billboard Dance 100 artist rankings, as well as the annual Billboard Dance Power Players executives list, will be revealed between March 21-22 on Billboard.com, and at a launch event during Miami Music Week.

Billboard Dance 100 partners include V-MODA, 1 Hotel South Beach, Hakkasan
Group, TAO Group, and Wynn Las Vegas.
