We end the week on a mellow tip courtesy of Amsterdam native Saux. His latest record "Lukewarm (Only You)" is simple, lush layered with a whole lot of pop/funk sensibilities. The love laden song has a late night pop vibe stemming from the disco-inspired guitar chops and ethereal vocal delivery. The song is built up from two simple components: tight vocal runs and a loose guitar groove, which flow together to create something reminiscent of a modern sounding Womack & Womack. It’s inspired by music from all sorts of places, taking as much a note from Bob Blank and Francis & The Lights, to Paul Simon and Young Fathers.
"Lukewarm (Only You)" serves as the perfect introduction to Saux's upcoming project Right EP.
