London's disco-pop queen Jessie Ware kicks off a new era with "I Could Get Used to This," her first solo release since 2023's That! Feels Good! arrived January 23rd via Island EMI Records. The glossy pop track comes paired with a theatrical video directed by Fa & Fon that transforms into a secret garden spectacle.
Drawing inspiration from the legend of goddess Juno alongside powerhouse influences like Grace Jones, Whitney Houston, and Barbra Streisand, Ware delivers classic pop with contemporary sheen. The video matches this ambition, featuring Ware and a crew of adorned dancers strutting, lounging, and celebrating life across an elaborate stage set designed to evoke hidden paradise.
It's been a busy period for Ware since That! Feels Good! peaked at number three on the UK charts and earned her second Mercury Prize nomination. She delivered a triumphant Glastonbury 2024 set featuring a surprise appearance from Romy for their collaborative track "Lift You Up," and has been working on her sixth album with producers Barney Lister and Karma Kid.
"I Could Get Used to This" signals a new chapter focused on what Ware describes as "romance, real love, performance, celebration and pleasure". Everything she does best distilled into three minutes of pure escapism.
