Houston emcee Rocky Banks just announced the release date for his forthcoming project, Big Little Brother. With this announcement, his fans saw the release of the first single from the upcoming album. "Through the Phone" was released with visuals to back it up, and neither disappointed. The track is packed with nearly four minutes of poignant raps and singing that discuss how people act on social media versus in-person. Rocky Banks utilizes each second of the song to unveil his versatility in his lyrics and sound. At times, he gives us a glimpse into his quick-spitting abilities, but at times he takes his southern roots and deep voice to craft a catchy melody. The music video for the Mufasa Enzor-produced song finds Rocky Banks in a blank room with a woman and a shotgun. The white room is occasionally filled with Matrix-like letters and numbers, giving the hazy song a visual dimension to match. Big Little Brother is due out February 5th, but in the meantime press play on the "Through the Phone" music video up above.
