South African record producer/act Anatii comes through at the start of 2018 with a new single titled "Thixo Onofefe".  For this joint, he teams up with Big Les For Real to create a sub rocking trap banger that sees the act kicking bars in both English and Xhosa languages.

The single which commemorates Anatii's birthday ( 8th of January) and also his 10th year as an artist speaks to ANATII's spiritual journey – from learning to fuse traditional cultural elements with popular culture, Speaking on the taboo topic of African practices in a westernized Africa and connecting to his faith and beliefs.

The extended title of the song Umthandazo Uzo Sebenza roughly translates to Prayer will work and while the banging beat keeps the listeners rocking, he sticks to the theme of the song with his uplifting lyrics. He further quips

"..I have always been plugged into my Xhosa culture and heritage. Going through the right of passage, ulwaluko, I connected more with that and understood my role in society, more so as a Xhosa man. I gained a broader understanding of building my relationship with God. "THIXO ONOFEFE" is my spiritual prayer and awakening, asking for a revival of good spirits, casting away sins & demons, impressing that goodness always prevails."

Anatii's debut album 'Artifact' was released in 2016, said project saw him collaborating with acts like Omarion, Somali-Canadian electronic duo Faarrow amongst others. He is currently working on a follow-up.
