Seattle producer GZ teams up with up and coming Canadian vocalist Lais on his new single "Rainforest". He cooks up a dark, cinematic soundscape that is quite enveloping to the ears on this track. Mixing downtempo trap drums around ethereal synths and strings makes for a unique listening experience, but Lais finds his pocket in the groove with his laid back, hushed deliver and melodic flow that gives off the feeling that he is half singing and half rapping. The hook is quite catchy with lines like "…wrap around me like a python in a rain forest, locate the mark, I'ma hit it if I ain't for it…"
