FARR is made up of Roméo, a songwriter, and classically trained musician, and Linden Jay, acclaimed producer (Lion Babe, Rejjie Snow) and multi-instrumentalist. Their latest release is the video for new single "Rebel Soul", an enthralling, sombre lo-fi electronica tune. Although the pair started collaborating via phone calls, emails and text messages, the quality of music that came out of it was pretty much far from anything around at the moment.
"Rebel Soul" is the follow up to the recent smash "Blades" and it's charged with a renewed sense of urgency. The single is an atmospheric journey into desire, come to life through refracted beats and Roméo’s flawless vocal. The visuals are equally stunning as they go for a surreal, mind-bending aesthetic that shows the new direction the band is heading in.
Speaking about the track, the band say:
"Rebel Soul is the hardest hitting track we've put out so far and ushers in the next stage of our story. We wrote it in Linden's kitchen on the back of a Lindt chocolate wrapper last summer and cut it between LA and London.”
