South London emcee AKS sophomore project ‘Train Of Thought’ was/is a fresh of breath air with it's organic production and self searching, profound lyrics. This led to him being nominated at the first ever Unsigned Music Awards last October.
His latest offering is the visuals for the song "Train Of Thought" which serves as the opening track for the album of the same name. The record showcases AKS lyrical strengths as he talks about personal growth both in his private life and as a musician. He details his struggles and victories side by side with such eloquence and passion over the upbeat, solemn backdrop. ‘Train Of Thought’ was co-produced by newcomer Kefas, Self-Taught Beats and AKS himself,
The visuals for ‘Train Of Thought’, directed by Chas Appeti, who has previously worked with Maverick Sabre, Lethal Bizzle, Fekky andKojo Funds, among others, is a thematic offering, which finds its inspiration in the record itself, and shines more light on the record’s overriding theme of AKS being on a journey to personal growth. The video also sees AKS paying homage to his hometown of London, while capturing the UK rapper in his very element as a performing artist.
Speaking about his ‘Train Of Thought’ single and its accompanying visuals, AKS says,
“The whole project has been about showing growth so it's amazing to see how that's been received. Bedroom/Studio ramblings to award nominations is one hell of a progression. But this video finally sees me publicly stepping into who I'm supposed to be as an artist! I just hope that people continue to catch my train of thought, cause like the song says, I've come a long way… but there's still a long way to go!”
