Today, Australian producer Yahtzel makes his Foreign Family Collective debut with his new release "Someone Else," featuring vocals from fellow Aussie singer Savoi. Melodic yet energizing, "Someone Else" is perfectly in line with the ODESZA curated label's indie-electronic soundscapes.
Savoi wears his heart on his sleeve in the new tune, singing catchy break-up anthem lyrics atop future pop production. The Brisbane singer previously lent his R&B inspired vocals to L D R U on their collaborative single "Next To You," gaining both artists significant notoriety in the genre. L D R U and Yahtzel comprise the electronic duo Carmada, whose debut Realise EP was released on OWSLA back in 2014.
With lush synths and delicate piano interlude, the new track maintains Yahtzel's thoughtful songwriting structure and cinematic production. It marks another notch in the Australian electronic music scene's meteoric rise to the spotlight. Check out the two artists new collaboration above.
