We first introduced you to the Los Angeles-based artist KONA's music through her "Working Woman" visual last month. We have been patiently (maybe not too patiently) waiting for the release of her project, UNCANNY. Today, she has blessed us with the five track EP.

The sound on this EP can be described as a mix of modern soul, r&b, and funk with some rock inspired elements. Each track provides a glimpse into who KONA is while still drawing on general themes that allows each listener to relate. Her voice on each track is as smooth as butter and makes for the perfect guide for this UNCANNY journey. It proves to be a very strong introduction featuring production from Zack Villere, Parris Pierce and LeMieux, and KONA herself.
"Jamaica Walls" and "Stay Ready" are definite instant new favorites as they provide additional uptempo vibes for the EP, but each track is the perfect piece in KONA's UNCANNY puzzle.
