Queens village-based emcee Akinyemi drops the lead single "dust calling" off his upcoming debut EP, Summers.
The single described visually by the cover art, about a young warrior, Akinyemi – meaning "fated to be a warrior" in the Yoruba language of Nigeria – who's on the journey to this house, and that house has all the music executives and people in the industry he feels he has to know/labels he has to sign with but it turns out the house is abandoned. "dust calling" is produced by DuqueNuquem, who produced every song off the EP, the duo connected via Soundcloud and proceeded to work on several songs.
Summers is due out September 1st and it's distributed by Sony Red.
