It's been a while since we've heard an aggressive piece of music from Dead Robot, but this week he graced us with a hell of a bootleg remix of Skrillex's recent release "Would You Ever" featuring Poo Bear. This return to his more powerful side of production comes in the midst of a soulful string of releases with LA singer/songwriter tribes. for their collaborative Therapy EP which we've been covering. The contrast between the EP and this bootleg is a true testament to the multitude of skills and styles the 24-year-old Los Angeles transplant is capable of and continues to impress with.

While Skrillex's version of "Would You Ever" has a happy upbeat vibe, Dead Robot's take on the song brings an explosive and unexpected surprise. By keeping the beginning of the song fairly true to the original, he catches the listener completely off guard when it takes an abrupt turn at the drop and unleashes a powerful, perverted bass and untamed robot noises. This version sounds like an edit you might hear in one of Skrillex's live sets. I'm actually hoping that he somehow gets his hands on it so we can hear it in that setting, but until then, turn it up and enjoy on the best speakers or headphones you have access to and enjoy the free download.
