Chicago old and new come together on Twista’s latest track, “Mortuary” featuring Vic Spencer.

Over a laid back g funk style instrumental, Spencer and Twista trade verses about death and killing the competition. Vic starts things out by painting a grim portrait of Chicago. “Woke up smelling gunpowder, didn’t want to smell it no more, so I blew a blunt of sour,” he raps at the song's opening. From there he focuses his crosshairs on the competition, “Vic Spencer, the worst rapper to hearse rappers.”

After the chorus, Twista comes in to finish things off with his usual lightning fast cadence. Twista spends his verse talking more about the competition than death and even throws in some humor to lighten the mood a bit, “When I try to figure out what rhymes with ‘Vic Spencer.’  Try to figure it out, smoking weed from my dispenser.”

All in all, “Mortuary” is a fun track that shows Twista still has it, and Vic Spencer is someone to watch in the ever growing Chicago music scene. Give “Mortuary” a listen above and be sure to stay locked on EARMILK for more dope music.
