Chaz Bear, AKA chillwave artist Toro Y Moi, is back with a second single for his upcoming album, Boo Boo. Coming after his first single, the sultry "Girl Like You", Chaz now shares "You and I", a stunning change of pace from a typical Toro song. Backed with little more than nebulous synth pads and some spare percussion, Chaz puts his vocals front and center, chronicling the strife and decline of a (hopefully fictional) relationship while barefoot atop a piano. It's a much more ambient and minimal sound with traces of R&B and a stronger emphasis on songwriting. The video is directed by Harry Israelson, who has directed many Toro videos in the past, including Anything In Return cuts "So Many Details" and "Say That", as well as the Live From Trona concert film and album last year.
