Wasiu drops the most relatable song about strip clubs with "Daddy Issues"

Oh, Canada, the things you do. Politics aside, North America’s better half has been crushing it lately, cranking out killer artist after killer artist. I needn’t go through the list, but it’s safe to say something is going down up north, and it is awesome.

Take Montreal’s Wasiu, as the latest example. He’s collaborated with everyone’s favorite MTLien, Kaytranada and most recently, flipped Hip-Hop’s usual strip club paradigm with “Daddy Issues.”

On “Daddy Issues” Wasiu tells a vivid story of his first experience at a strip club. But, instead of it going the way most strip club songs go, he ends up puking on a dancer’s chest and being thrown out. His calm, cool and collected cadence juxtaposed against the story’s outrageous content gives the listener a hilarious gem of a song.

Produced by Thomas White, Dear Lola, and WYLN, “Daddy Issues” is a welcomed break from the norm. By remaining true to himself, Wasiu drops a stellar single that is not only a joy to listen to but also makes a sharp commentary on Hip-Hop as a whole.

Press play on “Daddy Issues” above and be sure to stay locked on EARMILK for all the dope tunes coming out of Canada.

Also, just look at the track cover, it's hilarious.
