After battling with the woes of success on TWG Pt 2, we find our hero deciding what the success is worth before continuing further down this path. The well-crafted EP once again shows Jamme is an artist to watch while also showcasing many of his collaborators in a positive light. From friend and fellow rapper, Amon, to his string of producers, Pt 3 is Jamme's best yet.
At first glance, "Take Me Up + Amon" may be a candidate for strongest song of the EP, as both artists go in on their respective verses. However, Van Jamme and his TWG Pt 3 EP has much more depth than one dope track.
The entire EP is fire with each song feeling just as good, or better, than the last. C’Mar the Producer’s woozy horns on “Swimmin,” add a touch of depth to the project, starkly contrasting the production and overall feel of the other songs. Likewise, both “Doubt” and “For Granted” each has their own unique vibe, making the project as whole shine with a lifelike vibrancy.
Without revealing too much of the finale, Jamme wraps the three-part series up nicely on his final track, “For Granted.” It’s a touching dedication that brings both our hero’s journey and this project to a satisfying close.
