Newly turned 21, Brooklyn-based MC Jimi Tents is plotting to reinvent the sound of New York hip-hop with the rest of his SleeperCamp associates in 2017. The SleeperCamp is a rag-tag group of rappers, producers, and visual artists who have been incubating a unique sound the combines experimental jazzy & trap production with a potent type of introspective lyricism, that exhibit concepts and wisdom well beyond their years (most members span from ages 18-21). The formula makes for some of the most relevant sounding raps to come out of Brooklyn in a long time. Jimi Tents especially has shown great amount of growth since the release of his debut album 5 O'Clock Shadow last year.
In order to celebrate his 21st birthday, Jimi has released a new single entitled "Domino Effect" produced by The Vamp. The smooth single showcases Jimi's ability to ride and switch up flows on a dime while delivering clever line after line about about staying faithful to his lady.
