Amon is the epitome of the San Diego state of mind. On almost all his tracks, you can feel his laidback vibe permeating throughout. He always seems to be happy or laid back, looking at things with a grounded perspective. All of which is true on his latest track, "Joy."
On “Joy” Amon is playful, yet endearing. Though he admits “What do I know” when it comes to relationships, you can tell his heart is in the right place. Amon uses his signature quirky punchlines and one-liners to give thanks to his lady. And while some of his lines can get a bit cheesy (specifically that alphabet line) he means well.
“Joy” is a simple love song that fits closer to puppy love than the real thing, but that doesn’t make it any less important. Amon clearly cares for his girl and all the support she shows him. And at the end of the day, what’s wrong with somebody bringing you joy?
