English artist Icarus's stock is rising with every release. The duo started out slowly, until their first official original "Missing You" took off just a year ago. Since then, they've been delivering a steady stream of originals and basement-ready house tracks, like “They Are Not Like You,” and their latest, Hiding EP. Out via the heralded Anjunadeep – the underground spinoff of Anjunabeats – Hiding includes its title track in two forms, of different lengths, but the same affect. Scintillating, mesmerizing and built on layers of plotting sound, “Hiding” is impressive production from a dark unlit corner, brightened up by ethereal vocals. The combination is memorable to say the least.
