Right now, a strong contingency of our favorite artists are Canadian. There doesn't seem to be shortage of awesome talent coming out of Canadian. One example is Ottawa native JYDN. JYDN, a member of Maurice Moore's Stxryteller collective, is ready to continue his hot streak with his new single "Shawty You Know".

His last single, "Who Do You Love?", created a strong buzz for the up-and-comer. With his new PDub produced single, JYDN continues to cater to the ladies with a jam about doing it better than other men. JYDN shares,
"This was a song that was inspired by the desires I had for women who are ideal for me, yet are taken by another partner. Ultimately, the dilemma I had on whether or not I should fall back or still pursue them. 'Shawty You Know' was a lot of fun infusing a big R&B hook on a modern day rap beat, while also showcasing my versatility to rap and add unique melodies throughout the record. Creating different melodies is the most important aspect of my artistry, and I definitely wanted to show it on this song."
Hopefully, we can expect to hear a full project from JYDN in the near future. Until then, let "Shawty You Know" continue to monopolize your ears.
