I typically stick to posting dance and bass music, but yesterday I came across this in my inbox and it really struck a chord with me. HOF Records latest release, "Not My Way," by up-and-coming rapper, Vizual, has just the right amount of old and new school vibes that I love to hear in hip-hop. The song, featuring Chuuwee and produced by King Hazel, is a groovy west coast style attack on the mind with intelligent lyrics and a catchy production. Vizual had the following to say about the release:

“I wanted to create a song that people could just smoke and vibe to. ‘Stay in school be good what they sayin everyday, but this reefer that I’m smokin really got me in a haze, it’s the money, it’s the bitches, what they sayin everyday, I would, but it’s not my way’…I’m basically setting the example, that you don’t have to take orders from other people, and yes, money and bitches are great, but they aren’t everything.”

If you're a fan of old Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Warren G, or Nate Dogg then I suggest you check this one out. The 17-year-old Sacramento-based rapper is gearing up to drop his debut full-length project, Older Minds, next month, but in the meantime, enjoy "Not My Way."
