Just this past week, electro pop duo RIVRS released their Falling EP. And to no surprise, the group's music, informed by artists like Depeche Mode and The xx, was ripe for some additional electronic flair. With a remix EP set to release tomorrow via Atlantic Records, they’ve invited London DJ and production duo Eli & Fur to put a new spin on the track.
Eli & Fur themselves have made a splash with their deep house sound, releasing music on some of the industry’s top labels – Toolroom, Anjunadeep – ahead of remixing this single. With the electronic influence on “Falling,” it’s no surprise that Eli & Fur successfully transformed RIVRS’s impressive single into a tech house wonder. With some eeriness in production, Eli & Fur have created something totally new in the feeling of “Falling,” juxtaposing the original vocals against deep production and creating an almost 1990’s dance feel.
