As if they planned to drop this months ahead of time in order to celebrate Blank Face's release date today, Black Hippy did us well this Thursday with a remix of Schoolboy Q and Kanye's "THat Part". The track was at first the second single released off of the masterpiece album, but now receives a much more involved, political approach featuring Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Ab-Soul. Not unordinary for the TDE gang to hop on a track at opportune times.
Let me just get this out of the way: Kendrick is the best rapper alive. His verse on this remix is not only unbelievably clever and quick, it highlights current news and shines light onto the frustration alive today in the streets of America. TDE does a fantastic job of relating to the fans and staying current, not just mashing words together to make a rhyme.
Blank Face, in itself, is amazing. I have listened through 3 times already, and I urge everyone to take a look. It features SZA, Anderson .Paak, Jadakiss, Miguel, and many more. You can find it here.
