Find them at basement nights and warehouse one-offs reaching from New York to Montreal and overseas Berlin, a collective of connoisseuring clubbers. The recent flood of clichéd counterfeits has left much of today’s dance music better left unheard, but it’s the rumours stuck in our head that tug at our ego and give us the need to shine light. A compulsive urge to spread from one ear to the next, to draw a line between bottle service cogs and the cutting edge of electronic music, music built to live in. There’s no room for Vegas roller coasters or casual chit chat, just Night Rumours worth spreading.

Night Rumours:

A Light in the Dark:

This edition’s Light in the Dark will work a bit differently as I take over for Alyce this week. Since most of the selections above veer towards the melodic and emotive techno, an alternative track for your listening comes the way of Defected and KZR's Stripped Down Mix for "What Am I Here For?", the new release from The DangerFeel Newbies and Kai Alce.

The DangerFeel Newbies, Kai Alce – “What Am I Here For? (KZR's Defected Stripped Down Mix"
What Am I Here For (Kai Alce's NDATL Remixes), Defected [DFTD483D], March 21, 2016 [Beatport]

Featured Mix:

Today's mix presented by EARMILK's Night Rumours comes from Crosstalk. Featuring seven (7!) unreleased songs, including one of their own and anthems like the upcoming All Day I Dream. Other forthcoming releases include Audiofly and Maher Daniel's "Cluster of Stars", Edwin Oosterwal's remix for Daniel Dubb, an unheard Duke Tran track, and the unreleased Tim Engelhardt collaboration.
