Listen to "Blue Ruin," Ren Phillips' soulful drum & bass meets house tune

London-based producer Ren Phillips has already received nods from the likes of Annie Mac for his single “Comfort In Your Company.” It was a deep and sexy blend of elongated synths mixed with the soulful vocals of Cameron Bloomfield. This week, he followed up Comfort with an ambitious anthemic tune called “Blue Ruin” ft. Namuli. In this track, he creatively blends the breakbeat percussion of drum and bass with the bouncy sounds of house music. Namuli’s soul and R&B influences shine through in her vocals, exhibiting an almost  gospel quality to her rich smoky alto voice. Combine the two and you have this uplifting track that inspires  you to stand under the neon lights with arms outstretched, carried away in the music as your collective bodies sway to the downbeat.
