Anjunabeats label favorite Oliver Smith has returned under his own name with a new and impressive trance track entitled "Mirage." After working under his deep house moniker Meramek for the past year and a half, Smith has returned to progressive music for what now feels like a rare release.
Featured as the "Record of the Week" on this past week's episode of Above & Beyond's Group Therapy and featured in Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance, "Mirage" has begun to see support from contemporaries early on. Following in the footsteps of tracks like "Evermore," Smith has applied an interesting combination of styles into "Mirage," with immediately catchy chords, just-beyond-our-grasp vocals and bursting bouts of energy.
