New York based songstress Adesuwa is best known as the female half of the alternative R&B group Denitia and Sene. Now going under a new name of Adesuwa, the Houston native plans on distinguishing herself as a solo artist with her brand new debut, the Air Light EP.

The five track EP is an impassionate exploration of intimacy that steers more towards traditional R&B than the electro-pop of her Denitia and Sene material. Adewusa's sound can best be described as a mix of Sade-like jazz instrumentation defined by hazy synths and smooth guitar licks, that may draw comparisons to a Blood Orange brand of nostalgia. But Adesuwa's strengths lie in her angelic vocal harmonies and how her croons interplay with her band's hazy arrangements. Check out the Air Light EP below!
