It was exciting news last year when festival favourites ODESZA announced the commencement of their label Foreign Family Collective. In 2015, Foregin Family Collective had already released several highly acclaimed tracks including Jai Wolf's "Indian Summer" and Kasbo's, “World Away”. The label has thoughtfully curated its roster, with the selection of artists sharing a worldly, dynamic sound which embodies electronic music in a strangely organic way. By debuting massive singles from the likes of Jai Wolf, Big Wild, Kasbo and RÜFÜS DU SOL, ODESZA's picks create for a refreshing palette to the electronic music fiend.
Sydney-based RÜFÜS DU SOL released “You Were Right” via Foreign Family which also shared the same name as their headlining tour in 2015. The group wrapped up the year by touring their homeland Australia along with several North American stops. “Say a Prayer For Me”, is their second single released off Foreign Family and will be featured in their upcoming sophomore album 'Bloom', released January 22nd.
“Say a Prayer For Me” sets the tone with Tyrone Lindqvis' hypnotic vocals and soft percussions to create for a laid back vibe. RÜFÜS DU SOL's smooth lyrics layered upon the hazy tropical melodies will have you yearning for a summer night drive chasing the sunset. “Say a Prayer for Me” is a preview into 'Bloom' as a subdued nostalgic track that will set the audial backdrop to the long awaited summer.
