Tru is an 18 year old MC out of the Leimert Park, California who has been showing a lot of promise with each subsequent single & project. He was last featured on EARMILK when he dropped his awe-inspiring "King Conscious (Freestyle)" back in July. In the time since, the young spitter has released a number of exceptional singles and LP/EPs (including the excellent Everything Is LP) through his Soundcloud.

Today he returns with a much more somber sound on his newest single "5:49", featuring fellow Homies Only associate Ron Wave. The late night ballad has a moody "Ovo"-esque quality that is made evident by the weary instrumental and cynical subject matter. Tru & Ron utilize their auto-tuned vocals to vent about one night stands & relationship woes in a manner that shows off their ability to transcend genres. It seems that this could be another tool in the young artists wavy arsenal. Peep out the single below !
