When your music is being placed in a lane with the likes of Kwabs and Nicolas Jaar, you know you might be onto something good. Well LA-based electro-R&B duo Vector Xing are putting forth music that is playful yet melancholy, jarring yet soothing, modern yet familiar and evokes emotions that reverberate long after listening. Their latest single "Dipped In Blue" is an emotional "love song" as they put it.

Stevan Cablayan and Cameron McLain remark that the song "talks about going thru heartache in a digital age… the digital images of the person idealized through the portrait he painted of himself on social media and the internet or the actual person. The song is about not letting heartache consume you. About not being fully submerged in the emotions that come with someone rejecting you as their lover, but instead only dipping yourself in that emotion in order to learn from it. The song is not about redemption, but finding self-love through being vulnerable." While it's a bit melancholy to say the least, there's a positive meaning behind their emotionally soaked new single and we have the first listen for you right here, right below. Enjoy.
