Anyone who is a fan of disco house should get familiar with Pineapple Pop. One half of the duo Paradisko, Istanbul’s Hemi Behmoaras, has a solo act with a name just as delicious as his debut single. “RVLTN” pulls all the right cues from classic house and garage, with its simple snappy beats, soulful vocal samples, rich bass line, and synth chord progressions. That might make it sound basic, but this is definitely one of those cases where less is more. Hemi has just the right amount of production going on to hypnotize the listener into the bliss of house. Not only is the original mix sensational, but Bit Funk, In Flagranti, and Maxim Lany each lay down some shimmering tropical, deep house, and techno remixes to round out the EP.
