We at EARMILK are obviously big fans of Kelela, and how could we not be? She's straight up fantastic. So when we heard this remix of her, we weren't sure before we pressed play if we were willing to take a stab at perfection.
We're glad we checked this out though, because what results is a hidden gem that should have way more listens than it currently does. Taking the original and infusing it with the drippy sounds of lean and making it absolutely freaking perfect for those nights where you might be trying to get a little trippy, as Juicy J used to say, we're totally digging this new version of Kelela's "A Message." While it's gaining momentum by reaching the ears of greats like Lily Mercer, this one is an absolute must-hear.
