Philly born and Nashville bred artist CAPPA may have only started this new project a month ago, but she is no stranger to the music industry. Her debut album You Never Got Me was released in 2009 and she also sang backup vocals for Passion Pit during the band’s live VEVO session. CAPPA is a new platform for her to explore her solo work and fuse pop structures with electronic touches through out.

Last month she introduced her latest project CAPPA with the release of her infectious pop single “Hush.” The debut single was a lively up tempo pop track with heavy notes of electronic sounds woven through the melody as her voice pierced through the music with brooding conviction and allure. Her second single “In The Morning,” is a more melodic down tempo production that would give Grimes or Purity Ring a run for their money. Her voice floats effortlessly over a light bed of resounding 808’s and light droning synths. Electronic vocal manipulations and subtle harmonies take the track to track to a place beyond sensory anticipation. This track is a diversion from her first release but has us in great anticipation for her self-titled EP out in May. Listen to the track below and keep an eye out for more from this promising artist.
