Say hello to one of the newest acts to come out of LA, Pleasures, and her debut track “First Love.” Sometimes it can take a little while for artists to hone in on their sound, but Pleasures has managed to find that sweet spot right from the start. Chelsea Morrisey, the mastermind behind Pleasures, has this warm and sugary voice that works perfectly with the music. There’s this heartache and lonely feeling, but also sense of comfort in the vocals and steady pace of the track.
This dripping, slow burner is such a gem for synth pop. It’ll be exciting to see what Pleasures has in store for the future.
