Mexican producer Funk V. has been producing since he was 14 – that's five solid years – and now at age 19 is hitting a stride that many middle-aged producers wont' ever find. For his first latest single, the DJ known as Rodrigo Venegas to his friends has joined a label that influenced his musical development through the present – 1605. "Anna" has been teased in recent weeks on Soundcloud, but is officially out and streaming in full this week. I'm not sure who Funk V was thinking about while producing "Anna," but its tight, punchy tech-induced layering of synths produces a melody that is really entrancing. Check it out below.
