Weska's summer continues to run smoothly with a fantastic release in collaboration with fellow Toronto techno producer, TimeBandit. Released on Vienna's NB Records, "Crabs From Mars" is an aptly titled, outer space-techno heater that carries exquisitely from start to finish. Taking no time at all to jump right into the heaviest of kicks, this track is an industrial monster that has already seen a ton of support from industry figures. It's all there – that kick, those groovy drums, sticky hi-hats, and everything else a packed dancefloor needs to pop off.
Driving techno at it's absolute finest, Weska and TimeBandit provide a taste early in the track before drawing you into a trippy, wonderfully-programmed breakdown. A club-inspired build-up eventually drops into a second round of hard-hitting techno, accentuated by a great fill just before the kick. Evident throughout the track is that unique Weska chug we've all come to recognize, and undeniably love. "Crabs from Mars"? More like Techno from Mars. And we dig it.
