In an interview with radio and digital entrepreneur Al Lindstrom, Wiz Khalifa's exclusive strain of "Khalifa Kush" (which was made based on Wiz's taste and high preferences) became the center of discussion midway through the sit-down. It comes as no surprise that a record of the same name – for title purposes styled as "KK" – has now found it's way into the public stratosphere (or at least it shouldn't).
And to even the most casual of listeners "KK" has an old school Wiz vibe, steering clear of the auto tune style that dominated his most recent mixtape 28 Grams. Now Wiz works both styles quite well, so there's no knock against his decision to use or not use the effect – it's more so that in this case the absence of the effect suits the track well. Juicy J and Project Pat, both of whom are longtime collaborators and homies of Wiz, add a dope southern feel to the track as well.

"KK" is the second official single off of the Taylor Gang leader's upcoming album Blacc Hollywood, which finally has a release date of August 19th. Wiz will also embark on his headlining "Under The Influence Of Music" tour on July 24. He'll be joined by Jeezy, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Sage The Gemini, Rich Homie Quan, Mack Wilds, Iamsu!, and DJ Drama – depending on the date. The third annual U.S. trek will run through the summer.
